Global Ransomware Attack

On May 12, 2017, there was a global cyber-attack that spread in a matter of minutes. The messages are typically fake invoices, job offers, and other lures which are sent to random email addresses. Within the email is a .zip file and once clicked, initiates the “WannaCry” infections. The attack then spreads to internal networks and affects sharing protocols. DO NOT click on any links or file attachments from senders you are not familiar with or emails that look suspicious.

If you have an Endpoint Protection program installed, you may or may not be protected. It is best to contact your IT Support department or IT Support provider immediately to have your systems checked.
